This is only an itinerary to help remember restaurants and hotels we went to in September 2021. After our itinerary are recommendations other people offered.

Morro Bay - Anderson Inn
9/1- dinner at Galley - ok food but great view
9/2- kayaked -  dinner at Windows on the Water- Very good

Monterey -   Old Monterey Inn
9/3- dinner at Turn 12 Bar and Grill - ok
9/4- kayaked at Elkhorn Slough - dinner Demetra Cafe in Carmel - awesome fun and good food- owner sang
9/5- hike in Jack;s Peak Park - lunch at Compagno's Market & Deli ok - rude people- dinner at Fish Wife -Ok
9/6- 8 hour whale watching with Monterey Whale Watching  https://zenfolio.page.link/A5nUc - dinner at Fandango was excellent
 
Palo Alto-9/7-9/10 - visited with Mary's brother, Jon and sister-in-law Carol.
9/7 - dinner at J and C house. Highly recommend it.
9/8 -Mary's nephew, Michael and his wife, Jody and daughter Sylvie came for dinner
9/9- dinner at ???

Santa Barbara - La Playa Inn
9/10  - dinner at Le Cafe Stella
9/11- Kayak and e-bike ride - lunch and dinner at Santo Mezcal - Excellent

* Pavel’s Bakery (try the chocolate chip cookies and other pastries and sandwiches!)
* The Habitat in PG (cool vintage finds, furniture, and knick-knacks)

 For dinner: The Lark is fun and delicious.
- For lunch:
    #1 place is Brophys. It’s off the Santa Barbara Harbor,- you should get the garlic baked clams they’re famous for.
    Also for lunch I miss South Coast Deli (there salads are basically towers, if you get dressing on the side it’s good for 2 meals). Also I miss their “when in rome” chicken sandwich 🥪.
    -Los Agaves is another great spot, I always got their seafood enchiladas. and a
    -little outside town up the mountains is a super unique place, if you don’t mind a little drive, is Cold             Springs Tavern (they do pulled pork sandwiches they’re famous for on Sundays and lots of bikers stop     there for lunch in and out of town. Cold Springs Tavern would be great if you go hiking around Lizards 🦎 Mouth to see the view and then get food after.     
Breakfast: Cajun Kitchen was my favorite.
-    Another great one is Andersens bakery, but really you can stop in any time around brunch and getting their Kringle pastry to go. Yum 😋.
Final note: Butterfly 🦋 beach 🏝 was my favorite spot. A lot of LA movies film around there.
